Dear Members of The Tłegǫ́hłı̨ Got’įnę Government Incorporated,

As you know from the letter in the 2022 AGM package, Kristine Geary and Walter Blondin had sent us a letter through their lawyer to demand our membership list and contact information as per the Canada Not-for Profit Corporations Act. We have explained to Kristine and Walter that members do not want their personal information given out. However, they have insisted it is their right under the Act that we are incorporated under. Under that Act anyone getting our membership list must sign a declaration that swears they will only use the information for corporation business.  Below is the declaration we received. It complies with the Act and we have no choice but to provide her with everyone's information as we are obligated to do so under the Canada Not-for Profit Corporations Act. This is another reason why we want to establish a self-government, because at least then we will no longer have this type of obligation and be forced to provide your personal and private information unless you agree and consent.
